Maya Colello-Wilson

Maya Colello-Wilson joined the Institute as an academic counselor in October 2022. She graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Bachelor’s Degree in December 2023, achieving a GPA of 3.8 and earning honors in Criminal Justice. Additionally, Maya obtained her Paralegal Certification from Stony Brook University in June 2020 and her Verbal Intervention Certification in May 2022. With years of experience in the social work and criminal justice field, Maya has worked closely with adults and senior citizens who were formerly incarcerated and impacted by the justice system. Her primary goal at the Institute is to support students in achieving their academic needs and goals as they progress through college towards obtaining their degrees.
